On May 24, in Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, Audi hosted an inaugural “Speakers Forum”, keynote speaker Q&A format evening with a special guest - a brilliant engineer and co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak. I attended that event on behalf of FAJO Magazine.

The Q&A was hosted by CBC's Dwight Drummond. Mr. Wozniak, who likes to be called Woz, is an extremely passionate speaker. He discussed his career, disrupting technologies, and the next areas of technological innovation.

Here are the the best quotes from Woz that evening:

"[When I was a kid] I told my Dad, “One day I’m going to own a 4k computer”. And he said “It costs as much as a house”, to what I replied, “Then I will live in an apartment”

“There were no books on how to create a computer…. Apple 1 was a clumsy computer, I gave it away for free…. I loved designing all these things for free. I was saying “Leave me alone, I wanna be an engineer for life”

“Engineering and pranks go very well together. I’ve related comedy with creativity, because nobody knows how it’s coming”

“Creativity is about how can I get the most for the least”

“There’s either an iPhone or a phone. Brand means trust. But since Samsung Galaxy S3, I can’t say Android is as awful as it used to be”

“The human is more important. The product should be intuitive”

“Every big car manufacturer works on autonomous [vehicles these days]”

“Steve (Jobs) made an iPhone for himslef, Elon Musk made a Tesla for himself. When you build a product for yourself, that is the best marketing”

By the end, when we took a photo with an IT legend, he tought us that you can turn on your selfie camera just by saying "Siri, selfie mode". That's a valuable feature to learn from Woz himself!
